| Published April 29th, 2009 | Scouts Sail for Spring Break | Submitted by Fran Miller | | | Nine Scouts and eight parents from Moraga Boy Scout Troop 212 spent six days during spring break sailing the Florida Keys on The Heritage Miami, a replica of the 1897 original 83 foot, gaff rigged schooner. Acting as deck crew, anchor crew, galley crew and nighttime anchor watch under the captain's command, the scouts learned to hoist sails and lash and splice lines.
