Attention Lafayette Seniors - this is your chance to speak up!
By Cathy Tyson
A telephone survey will be conducted by BW Research starting May 12 and running through May 20 designed specifically to ask questions about what seniors, 55 and over want in Lafayette to make it a more "aging-friendly community."
The Senior Needs Assessment Task Force has been hard at work on the survey project. Two workshops were held recently to define key issues important to seniors and their families. With that information BW Research has designed the phone survey.
The goal of the survey is to identify strategic priorities for services to meet the future needs of Lafayette seniors. For folks that receive the random calls, no one is trying to sell you anything. The twelve to fifteen minutes spent answering these questions will provide vital information that benefits the senior community. Interviewees' answers and information will be kept confidential and anonymous, and they certainly will not be asked to make a contribution or donation. Interviewers will identify themselves as being with BW Research and are calling on behalf of the City of Lafayette.
