There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony on August 13 at 5:00 p.m. for Lamorinda Nails at 271 Lafayette Circle, Lafayette. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, announced that Glenn Beaubelle, an agent in the company's Orinda office, ranked among the top agents in the U.S. for home sales last year in a new survey by The Wall Street Journal, lore magazine and REAL Trends. The results were from the fourth annual "Real Estate Top 400," a national sales ranking sponsored by the three media organizations. Over 100 members and their guests chatted, enjoyed delicious appetizers from local stores and restaurants and gazed at original oil paintings of Moraga artist Teresa Onoda. Dave Parker, owner of Parkmon, shared a bit of wine growing history surprising the audience with the fact that at one time the vineyards of the Moraga Valley were some of the best in the world. He also said that today there are 40 vineyards of all sizes within the Town limits. Along with wine tasting, several representatives from St Mary's College spoke at the gathering. - July meeting on the 31st, starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Hacienda de las Flores. Orinda - On June 16th the Orinda Chamber held a mixer at the new Pizzeria Amoroma. "It was a delightful evening of wine, laughter and beautiful appetizers celebrating the Opening of Pizzeria Amoroma," said Candy Kattenburg, Chamber Executive Director, "although the wine was complimentary Michele Lavecchia asked for a donation to the community of Abruzzo, Italy, where a devastating earthquake hurt the business and small farmers."
