| | | | | | A traditional Torah Procession marked the inauguration of the Contra Costa Jewish Day School's (CCJDS) new building on Oct. 14 for students, faculty, parents and community friends. Having grown out of their leased classroom space at Temple Isaiah's Education Building due to exponential student enrollment, the brand new 18,000 square foot facility, serving grades kindergarten through eighth, is their new permanent home.
"CCJDS has received the highest accreditation possible from the California Association of Independent Schools, which reflects our focus on academic excellence. Families have now heard of our academic reputation, our strong Judaic values, small class sizes, and most of all, a true feeling of community," said CCJDS Head of School, Dean Goldfein.
"We are close to completing our funding goal for 'Phase 1;' we hope to continue our master plan of a children's play area and gymnasium," said Karla Smith, one of the CCJDS founders and Campaign Chair.
The official CCJDS building dedication and celebratory opening is planned for Sunday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 5 p.m. CCJDS is pleased to provide tours of its new facility. Contact Dean Goldfein, CCJDS Head of School (925) 284-8288 to arrange a visit.
