Locker room theft, 5/11/10 Several Campolindo students left their personal items in the men's (unlocked) locker room, and went to swim practice at 4:00 p.m. When they returned at 5:30 an iPhone, iPod, cell phone and cash, totaling $588 was missing. No witnesses or leads at this time. Another student reported his Blackberry Curve cell phone was also stolen that day. Next time can they bring their own locks to the locker room?
False alarm, 5/08/10 Moraga officers checked on a Campolindo Drive home on a report of the security alarm going off. They checked the house and found the back door left unlocked and slightly open, but no signs of forced entry. After checking the home and finding nothing unusual, they locked the back door and left. Did the alarm scare off would be burglars? We'll never know.
Missing mail, 5/07/10 A Francisca Drive resident went out of town on May 7 and returned on May 11. There was no mail in her mailbox upon her return. She didn't arrange for a friend or one of her neighbors to pick it up. Her mailman said he had continued delivering there as usual. Presumed stolen.
Class not really cancelled, 5/06/10 An unknown person created an e-mail address using the initials and last name of a Saint Mary's College professor that looked suspiciously like the professor's real e-mail address. Everyone in the professor's classes, except two students, was sent an e-mail informing them that class was cancelled. Perhaps a pre-graduation prank, or a student really trying to postpone taking a test?
