Save the Dates for Rock the Plaza

Rock the Plaza is back this summer kicking off three weeks of free Friday concerts at Lafayette Plaza with Stagefrite on August 12. For a blast from the recent past, this high energy rock and roll party band plays classics from the eighties and nineties like "Hurts so Good" and "Runnin' Down a Dream." For Lafayettans, possibly even Moragans who made it out of town and are in search of a soulful sound, The Floorshakers are playing on August 19, serving up a wide variety of funk, soul and rock and roll cover songs from Aretha Franklin, to the Ohio Players and Rick James. Wrapping up the series is classic rock band Tall Shadows on August 26; all shows start at 6:00 p.m. For a sneak preview of the bands, check out their websites, www.stagefrite.com,
