| USA Swimming announced the 2010-11 Scholastic All-American Team and nine members of Orinda Aquatics are on the roster. The team is comprised of high school student athletes who have completed 10th,11th, or 12th grade and attained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and achieved the required time standard in a single event.
Christopher Leon, a freshman swimming at UC Santa Barbara, and Courtney Whyte, a freshman swimming at Notre Dame, were members of the Scholastic All-American Team for a second year. First year members for Orinda Aquatics include Acalanes High School student Emily Giambastini, Campolindo High School's Jonathan Ratchford and Megan Liang, and Miramonte High School students Megan Freeman, Jenna Haufler, Megan Howard, and Allison Light.
Orinda Aquatics is a nationally recognized year-round USA Swimming program. The motto of the team, "Character First" applies not only to swimming, but also all aspects of the swimmers lives, including academics.
