Lamorinda Swimmers Master "Go the Distance" Competition

Lafayette City Council Member Don Tatzin, 59, and Susan Skilton, 53, placed first in their respective age groups for the 2011 United States Masters Swimming "Go the Distance" event. This was Tatzin's third straight year in first place.
Tatzin recorded 1731.5 miles this year. He is only one-of-two swimmers out of 2,800 participants to complete over 1,500 miles.
Skilton swam 944.20 miles in the year. She placed 26th overall (men and women).
