Saint Mary's women's basketball completed regular season play with an 11-5 record. The Gaels secured the fourth seed and will play on Friday, March 2 at noon.
Saint Mary's enters the tournament having defeated every team in the WCC at least once except for USD. USD earned the third seed and so SMC will not have to face them until the championship, should they both progress that far. During the regular season, Saint Mary's recorded huge wins over first-seeded Gonzaga and second-seeded BYU.
