The Lafayette Little League 9U All-Star team managed by Paul Souza was selected to represent Lafayette in tournaments over the summer. The team had stops in Carson City, Rancho Cordova, Alameda, and the First Annual Buckeye Classic in Lafayette. The team managed to make it to the championship game in all of its tournaments and went undefeated July 20-24 to win the Buckeye Classic.
