The Campolindo boys' golf team is off to a strong start. The varsity team is undefeated in dual matches to start the season, posting six straight wins.
On March 23, the team traveled to the Meadow Club in Fairfax to play against other high schools. Campo edged out Foothill by five strokes to take top honors at the 25-team tournament for the first time ever.
"This was the best performance by the Campolindo golf team that I have witnessed in my twelve year tenure, and that is saying something as I have had the pleasure of coaching some very good teams," said head coach Steve Robinson.
Austin Fischer and Will Lagomarsino led the team on the challenging Meadow course, shooting even par 71's. Mitch DiRaimondo followed with 74, Robert Young with 75 and Ryan Burnett with 78.
