A new stop sign has been installed at the top of the hill at the intersection of Zander Drive and Rheem Boulevard. In January 2019 the Orinda city council approved the addition of the traffic control, as residents of the area found it difficult and dangerous to turn from Zander onto Rheem, and were particularly concerned about their learner drivers. In addition to the existing stop sign on Zander, the intersection is now controlled in all three directions.
