The Acalanes basketball program recently conducted a fundraiser for the Lafayette Boys Basketball Association. Rather than raising money just for themselves, the boys wanted to support?a worthy cause - The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano.??
Over the last three weeks, the boys raised money outside of Diablo Foods, Philz Coffee in Lafayette, and Lunardi's in Walnut Creek. The boys were able to raise more than $10,000, half of which they will give to the Food Bank.??
More than 600 donors in the community gave to this cause - the generosity of this community toward the high school and the Food Bank is truly inspiring.
